  • Keith (Big Nasty) Kunzig from Ameriprise will also be at all the registrations.  If you make an appointment with him to discuss your financials goals or to get advice, he will donate $25 toward YOUR FUNDRAISER for the year.  What does this mean? Cheerleading and Football Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. What are the first two week of tryouts for?
All the Varsity and Junior Varsity Coaches will be together to determine what level of experience child has. After two weeks, the Varsity Coaches will select the players that will best represent the Varsity level of play. If there are more than two Junior Varsity squads, there will be a Draft for the remaining players to make equal teams of play.

  1. When will my child(ren) be assigned to a team?
During the beginning of the third week, the teams will be determined and the children will all be placed on a team.

  1. How many days a week will they practice?
For the first two weeks for sure, the practice is from 6-8, five Days a week. After the teams split, each team will have a meeting and the coach will address when his practice schedule will be.

  1. How will I know what team my kid is placed on?
You will be contacted by the Head Coach of the team your child will be playing for either at practice or by phone once the teams are determined..

  1. When will we receive our Jerseys?
The Jerseys are ordered and each player’s name is hand stitched. Once each team is set, Allens will be notified of the child’s number and they will be stitched on. You will have your Jersey for the Kickoff Classic but not soon before.

  1. When will I receive my Cheerleading Package?
After the first week, all the packages will be ordered. You will have before the Kick Off Classic

  1. When do Cheerleaders go to gym?
This will be determined by the Coaching Staff. The girls go to the Rock Solid Gym to work on their tumbling skills one night per week. There is a $5 fee each session

  1. When does Flag Practice Start?
Flag will start the week of August 2nd. There will be a parent meeting on the 2nd to go over all schedule requirements.

  1. When is Flag’s First Game?
This will be determined by the Flag Coordinator and will be announced on August 2nd.

  1. What day of the week will games be for Flag?
Typically all games will be on Tuesday or Thursday. Do to some conflicts; they may be played on other days of the week if the Coordinator feels fit. You will be notified of the schedule on August 2nd

  1. When will we receive the JV Schedule?
Once the teams split, we will send our rosters to the league. They in turn will determine our schedule. It will not be posted much before Kick off Classic (first game of season).

  1. What happens if I cannot make my shift for Concession, Spirit Shop or Gate?
You can hire a substitute from the list and pay $15 for your shift or change with another parent on your team. This must be done through your team mom to make sure they are notified and can make the changes in the book. You are ultimately responsible for your shift and if the team mom has to find a replacement for missed shifts, you child will NOT play in the following weeks game.

  1. Who do I contact if I have questions or concerns?
You can always contact any Board member at the field and they will point you in the right direction. You may also go to the website at www.seminolechiefs.org and email your question from the website. Our email address is: seminolechiefssyfc@yahoo.com
